A prolific producer - and indeed, remixer, - Safras has sprinkled his magic on tracks from Britney to Dubfire, while also lending his talents to seminal imprints such as Trapez, Saved, 20:20 Vision and more. It's refreshing to find an artist who's been around as long as Ben Sims as enthused as he is. After a career defined by over 50 stellar techno EPs on labels like CLR, Hardgroove, Drumcode and so many more, 2011 sees the London based innovator delve into his first full length opus invigorated by what he sees as an ever vibrant and healthy music scene. Smoke & Mirrors isn't all balls to the wall techno as you might expect, but instead voyages off into pockets of firm house, vocal stuff (thanks to appearances from Chicago's Tyree Cooper and Detroit's Blake Baxter) and plenty of dubbed-out and grainy textures swing to perfection....
