With an output which straddles the boundaries between technology and electronic music Richie Hawtins legacy as one of the definitive techno artists of the last 20 years has long been cast in the EDM history annals. His father, a technician with General Motors influenced the young Hawtin by playing the music of electronic industrialists Kraftwerk and the nebulous musings of Tangerine Dream. Advocating the basis of his roots he tells me “I started out as a kid fascinated by music and technology and somehow I found a way to work between both of those passions and intertwine them. After discovering a world of underground clubs and electronic music in Frankfurt around the turn of the new millenium, Burak Sar aka SIS became hooked on dance music, eventually forging out a noteworthy career for himself within the scene. Inspired by his musician father, Sar quickly developed his DJ skills into the studio as he took to making productions of his own. From 2006 he released on labels such as Amused Rec, 8bit Rec and Cecille, with whom he went on to release the highly successful 'Nesrib' before he eventually dropped 'Trompeta' which was one of the dancefloor bombs of 2008...
