About Jan Krueger:

It's 1995 in Düsseldorf - Jan's hometown - and he's consumed by the Music of Labels like M-Plant, Relief, Sound Signature, Planet E and Phono. Jan owes his first steps to present his record selection (to those other than his lovely dog and cat) to a very good friend who holds a residency at one of the best underground clubs for electronic music, an old wine cellar located in Wuppertal, near Düsseldorf. Here he had the pleasure to play alongside artists who had inspired him since the early nineties. In short - this is the precise starting point of a never ending story fuelled by love for the music.

In 1996, Jan started to work for a record store and focused on hosting his own parties starring international guests like Daniel Bell, Matthew Herbert, Ata and Steve Bug. Around the same time, he met the young and promising producer Daze Maxim. Both clicked right away and found out that they have a quite similar interest in electronic music. Both decided to start some excursions in Maxim's backroom studio to produce deep and minimal house tracks, which were finally released on Matthias Tanzmann's Moon Harbour Recordings in 2001.

Three years later, Jan determined after sleepless nights to move away from Düsseldorf and all his friends in order to start a new chapter in Hamburg. Because of his long friendship to the staff of Germany's leading distribution company Word and Sound, it was a logical step to take on a position as sales manager there. As a consequence of all this, it wasn't long before he proposed to Daze that they set up a platform for him and friends to release music. Hello?Repeat was born.

As a DJ, Jan is adept in the late night hours, playing his highly individual and addictive mixture of deep house, minimal, and techno with rough edges, always focused on the dance floor. Today Jan lives in Berlin and holds a residency at Panoramabar and Watergate and plays considerably abroad to represent the high quality sound of Hello?Repeat.

About Bells & Whistles :

Two kids in their early twenties coming up in a rapidly growing scene here in San Francisco. They've started their first monthly party call DRESSCODE, bringing house and techno talent from all over the world, to the top of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel, 21 floors up at Harry Denton's Starlight Room. They've played along side people like Claude VonStroke, Tim Green, Bruno Pronsato, Maetrik, Franklin De Costa, and more. Gigs are starting to pop up more frequently now for these two young DJ's, like the Porker Flat 10 year anniversary party with Steve Bug and John Tejada @ the Mezzanine. Lately the Duo has been in the studio working on some music, so be sure to keep an eye out for these two in 2010 .

About dCOY:

Tim dCOY was raised in the Cleveland suburb of Elyria, OH where he spent many a day on a skateboard, strumming his guitar, and playing in psychedelic/alt/Manchester influenced bands.

In the late ‘80s, Tim began going to dance clubs, and found himself being more and more influenced by the electronic sounds of Meat Beat Manifesto, Ministry, Nitzer Ebb and 808 State (to name a few).

In 1996, being heavily influenced by the more raw, stripped down sounds of the Midwest, Tim started DJing in Gainesville, Florida, playing sets of pure techno - contrasting heavily against the local standards of breaks and trance. Always in search of a home, Tim would eventually leave Gainesville to follow his heart to the West. By 2007 Tim was in San Francisco and DJing on a steady diet of minimal techno and tech-house. Alongside fellow DJs Razvan, Farzana, and IXD, Tim helped establish Oakland’s now legendary Black Market Techno.

In February 2008, Tim decided that everyone needed more techno and co-founded Killswitch with DJ Javaight, a weekly techno happy hour in the Lower Haight where Tim continues to push the envelope and the rhythm into the hearts and minds of listeners. Over the years, Tim has played alongside artists such as Dan Curtin, Seth Troxler, Josh Wink, Meat Beat Manifesto, Todd Sines, Reference, Eric Johnston, and Sassmouth, among others. Always keeping the dance floor a priority, dCOY drops with a solid mix of tech and textures, vibrations and aftershocks.

About Javaight:

David Javate aka DJ Javaight aka JV8, is a DJ, event promoter and writer. A veteran DJ from Washington DC and lifelong dance music aficionado, David's love has always been towards the deeper side of house and techno. As is evident in his contributions to SF nightlife with the deep house night, Staple, the ground breaking techno event, Optimal, and the techno happy hour, Killswitch, David continues to showcase deeper styles with a DJ style which acknowledges house and techno's pioneers while also welcoming today's innovators. Showing the diversity of being able to play during different moods of the night, David always strives to take the listener on a journey, and make an audio collage which moves the mind and body.

Pour goûter à l'excellente carte du restaurant ou tout simplement pour siroter un des nombreux cocktails du bar, Olivier vous attend ce vendredi 12 mars à partir de 21h30 (les gourmands viendront avant pour profiter des talents du chef cuisto!) et prévoit de vous déboucher les oreilles jusqu'à 2h.

Au programme: un voyage entre Deep House, Detroit, Techhouse minimaliste et mélodies fantastiques. C'est avec son bag blindé de nouveautés et d'inlassables classiques qu'il vous livrera un set rempli de rebondissements. En bref, un allé simple au pays des merveilles sonores.

Le Barillon vous propose de venir diner en musique avant l'ouverture officielle des festivités!

Olivier Monteiro est un jeune DJ qui distille un son totalement underground.

Très tôt, il croise le chemin de la Techno et tombe sous le charme de sa diversité.

Puriste du vinyl, il part à la conquête des perles rares et plonge la tête la première vers les différents horizons qu'offre la musique électronique. De la House à la Techno – en passant par un son parfois deep ou tech-house hypnotique, jazzy, acid, funky ou plus mélodique – pour Olivier, l'éclectisme est de rigueur.

Il décide de partager sa passion et investit quelques soirées étudiantes et des lieux comme Les Planches, l’Acropol', Le Mécano, l'Espace Madeleine ou encore la Part des Anges (Toulon) aux côtés de Fabrice Gilly. Plus tard, c’est le collectif Art You Out qui l'invitera à jouer aux Disquaires puis à l'Anti-Rouille aux côtés de Lucigene, Birdy ou encore Mexx. Fin 2009, c'est au Barillon qu'il offre deux apéro-mix très très chaud. En février dernier, il est l'invité des Screaming Loulous et de leur mensuelle Lola Pitch à l'OPA Bastille à laquelle il a le privilège de jouer avec deux des résidents du collectif et membres du projet Click & Clac : Marvine aka Apo-K-lipstik et Kristo Ludek.

Olivier est une valeur sûre. Son charisme, sa fraicheur et sa sélection sont ses meilleurs atouts! Le meilleur est à venir !

There may be a huge birthday celebration taking place before this party, but it doesn’t mean Filth will rest on their laurels in March.  They’ve a well picked line up of talent including Mark Mendes, Alex Kenji and Juan Kidd, and with the party being back at Filth’s Mint Club home, things will be n less exciting this month...

Canadian Mark Mendes (who has recently been in the studio with second headliner Alex Kenji after the success of their co-produced uber-hit ‘Take that Sax’)  has released a string of unique productions, including his massive original hit, ‘Beneath You’ and his collaboration with Mike Jacinto on his latest tune ‘Molly’ which has been played by anyone who is anyone. He’s remixed the likes of Dave Spoon, John Acquaviva and many more, and his tracks on labels like Cr2 and Toolroom have featured on a number of BBC Radio 1 shows including Pete Tong’s Essential Mix.  His music and mixes are fresh and energetic – exactly right for a Filth party, then.

Next guest Alex describes his output as ‘positive, bouncy, house music with something rhythmical inside.’  The Italian plays all over the world and is part owner of tech label 303Lovers.  His tracks have featured on the BBC Radio1 Essential Mix and in the DMC US House Chart and get play listed by the finest DJs.

Juan Kidd is man responsible for the dark, techy, house sounds you’re hearing in the clubs right now – his sound is dirty but expertly polished. With bags of experience as a DJ and engineer, he is breaking through as one of the most respected producers on the underground scene. Steve Angello, Erick Morillo, and Mark Brown have all signed Juan’s tracks to their labels Size, Subliminal, and CR2 respectively, all of which are out very soon. His sounds can vary from deep to techy to big room house – and even techno, depending on where the crowd will let him take them.

Resident Eddie Zanetti includes Radio 1’s Kissy Sell Out amongst fans of his productions; Luke Pompey plays everything from house through techno and does so everywhere from Amnesia to Privilege to Ministry of Sound. Erick Morillo is a big fan of his recent track and tastemaker Pete Tong is playing his remix of Dennis Ferrer - ‘Hey Hey.’
