Jus Ed will be flaunting the foundation sounds at On Board Music Presents.
House music, as we all know, derives from America and in particular Chicago. It has since been twisted, turned and morphed into a whole manner of styles and variables. Here are some of the most iconic purveyors playing at Off Week, that hail from that side of the Atlantic.
House music doesn't get a more pure interpretation than when Kerri Chandler does it. He's part of the the genre's DNA and is responsible for some of the most iconic house music releases. Live is where he shines though, so no doubt he'll be bringing his piano to jam over his DJ set, when he plays for Off Weeks Monumental collaboration with Dimensions in Barcelona.
Over the last ten years DJ Jus-Ed has established himself and his label 'Underground Quality' as a formidable source of house weaponry. Releasing the deeper leanings, his label paved the careers of Fred P, DJ Qu and Levon Vincent. Also taking into consideration an impressive seven albums in his career, he seemingly never takes his foot off the accelerator. Expect to be educated and entertained when the larger than life character steps up.
Regular ravers in front of Delano Smith can rely on their deep house cravings to get fully satisfied whenever he assumes control. The Detroit native and Sushitech regular has a certain knack and a unique take on house music, which has been his USP since his first releases in 2003. Here he plays back to back with Brawther for Dan Ghenacia's Go Deep event.
Omar S is something of an anomaly; known for his care free attitude and his integral role in Detroit's second wave of house music mainstays. His respected FXHE label gave career to Seth Troxler and Kyle Hall among others, inciting a nod from other artists in recognition for his impact on the culture of house music. He joins other US legends Carl Craig, Moodymann, Octave One and Kyle Hall for the Detroit Love party.
Marcellus Pittman is another DJ and producer who needs little introduction. Nestling comfortably between disco, techno and more commonly house music, he has been an exponent of his native Detroit for quite sometime. So much so he is part of Three Chairs alongside the hugely respected Theo Parrish, Moodymann and Rick Wilhite. You can find him spinning his distinctive sound at the huge Life and Death Party.
