It’s been a big Bank Holiday weekend, so you might be feeling a little sorry for yourself this morning. More partying might the last thing on your mind, but give it a day or so and you’ll be raring to go again, so we’re here to point you in the direction of the six most sizzling sessions over the next seven days.

One of London’s more cultured festival offerings is back again from Friday to Saturday (with various after parties following each day). This time at the new home of Brockwell Park, there are special live sets from soul legends like Erykah Badu and edgy popsters Fever Ray, as well as DJ sets from artists like Worldwide FM founder Gilles Peterson, electro and techno showcases from Helena Hauff and Avalon Emerson, jazz from Matthew Halsall, house from Ross From Friends and plenty more in between.




Trouble Vision at Corsica Studios, London

Trouble Vision always bring class acts to Corsica studios and this weekend is no different. First up is masterful house and disco selector Prosumer, who brings joy to any floor. Then come Canadian deep house outfit Pender Street Steppers, who bring rough edged, lo-fi melodies and catchy grooves and play all night long in room two. 



Hodge b2b Kowton at Sub Club, Glasgow

Bristol pair Hodge and Kowton are at the sharp end of UK techno, always innovating by bringing bass, hardcore and dubstep influences to their productions. This weekend they go back to back and are sure to bring out the best of each other in one of the UK’s finest small clubs, which is set to become a real sweat box.

ust Jack Summer Slam at Motion, Bristol

Just Jack are the leading party people in Bristol and for good reason. They bring the best of the best to the city and their Super Summer Slam is one of their biggest yet. Detroit badman Omar S is joined by Chicago house pioneer Maurice Fulton, contemporary techno talent Objekt brings his tasteful soundtrack and Intergalactic Gary takes you into the cosmos. Awesome Tapes From Africa, Lena Willikens and the trusty residents also line-up to make this an all day, three room marathon. 



Baltic Weekender, Liverpool

Taking over various venues around the city, Baltic Weekend joins the dots between the past, present and future of house and techno. There are greats like Kenny Dope and Mike Skinner playing with new school heroes such as DJ Seinfeld and Objekt. Children of Zeus represent fresh hip hop, Romare brings his special live show and Helena Hauff will take no prisoners with another of her wide reaching sets. Add in Umfang, Dan Shake, Omar S and plenty more and choosing quite which parties to hit up will be the hardest part about attending this one.

Showcasing all Leeds has to offer is inner city electronic. For one day and night only, all the best venues in the city open their doors to acts like KiNK, Andrew Weatherall, Craig Richards, Peggy Gou, Radioactive Man, Nicholas Lutz, Joy Orbison and many more. There will also be producer forums, workshops, dub talks, conversations between DJs and plenty more this weekend.
