"Another year, another star-studded list of exclusive We Love… to help the infamous party celebrate its 10th anniversary"

Every Ibiza season there are parties that stand out. Parties you just have to be at. Sometimes they're classic promotions that have become as much a part of the island scene as sunloungers and San Miguel. Sometimes they're bright-eyed newcomers bursting with promise. In the countdown to opening Ibiza Voice is catching up with a handful of what we believe are the essential rave-ups of 2008. This week, we bring you a preview of We Love… 2008 which opens 15 June at Space…

Their opening hours have been curtailed, but the spirit hasn't - they'll be packing in proportionally more party-per-minute than ever before. To celebrate their birthday and their indomitable spirit we asked two of their hottest exclusive residents: techno queen Miss Kittin and wonky house superstar Claude Von Stroke, to tell us about 10 things  they love...

01. 3AM anthem

Miss Kittin: LFO Tied Up (Sweep remix). I love to look for forgotten classics or unknown mixes and I discovered this LFO remix online. When I look at the crowd's reaction I find the reward of my work.

Claude Von Stroke: Fly Life. It's a straight up killer and I love it because it is the simplest of concepts - the magic is all in the execution. I think about this one in the studio when I have about 55 tracks going.... Keep it simple, stupid!

02. Item of clothing

MK: A really, really short dress... It took me a long time to be feminine, until I realised feeling pretty affected the quality if my sets. Traveling light pushed me to find easy clothes to carry and dresses are surely the best option, very elegant and comfortable.

CVS: I rarely stray from my jeans, Adidas low-tops, and a t-shirt. Same deal every time. Gives me less to think about, like those scientists who have 15 of the same shirts so they can concentrate on the work and never deal with what they are wearing.

03. TV show

MK: Twin Peaks on DVD. I don't watch TV a lot but I have a huge DVD collection and series are nice when you travel as it makes you feel home. Twin Peaks is real cinema on TV format. Very few series managed to do that.

CVS: Massive fan of the Dave Chappelle show until he cancelled it two years ago. I never laughed as hard as that. Chapelle is a genius!

04. Snack

MK: A gazpacho at Es Cavallet. It's a tradition every time I come to Ibiza. It's healthy and fresh, there's nothing like it - especially gazpacho in a brick. After that, you are all set to dance at DC10 on the way back!

CVS: It's hard to resist those peanut M&M's that seem to be in every single airport store and mini-bar in the entire world. Can't you see I've got 40 pounds to lose?!

05. Classic pop record

MK: Madonna - 1st album . I love the cheap beats, basslines, her voice was still fresh and naive. Lucky Star or Holiday are my favorites. It was a present from my dad, on vinyl.

CVS: Wang Chung . I don't actually even like this track but the phrase "Wang Chung" has eked its way into my daily vocabulary at the dirtybird office. If you're not cutting the mustard you are definitely getting called Wang Chung.

06. Saying or quote

MK: Love has its reasons that Reason don't know. I forgot who said that. A French philosopher or poet. Anyone who remembers can send his answer to the newspaper! Love has no explanation, even if we constantly try to understand it, it's useless. It makes it an endless source of inspiration! It's all about pheromones and Nature.

CVS: "I can use sticks and bricks to make a track. It's not about the equipment." (Theo Parrish)

07. Fictional character

MK: Edward Scissors hands. I don't know why. It just came to my mind now.

CVS: Bootsy Collins. He's real but he seems fictional.

08. Smell

MK: Lavender fields in Provence from my childhood. My grandparents have a house in high Provence, the land of lavender. Purple fields everywhere in summer. I love it.

CVS: My newborn baby girl. She's got that infectious little baby smell.

09. Ibiza hideaway

MK: A jump from the cliffs of Punta Galera and a dinner at Il Destino. I do these two things every time I come to ibiza. Punta Galera is a very powerful place where I recharge my batteries. I stay until sunset and, on the way back, we have the best tapas in the world.

CVS: Maybe someone could point me to one. I have no idea.

10. Thing about Space…

MK: I think I already answered!

CVS: The sound system. Also the other DJs who play there are always top calibre so it's cool to check them out and hear some hot tracks.

We Love… Enter into their tenth season in Ibiza. The island's only 'festival in a club' party will bring six 'arenas' of music from across the globe every Sunday from 15th June to 28th September - 16 summer parties.
