It's normally around this time in Ibiza that we're looking beyond our Christmas dinner and hoping Santa brings some new dancing shoes, ready for the traditional New Year's Day Circoloco bash at dc10.

Well, to celebrate the dawn of 2009, the party moves to Barcelona's Row 14 with a storming line up starting at 7 in the morning.

Moon Harbour label boss Matthias Tanzmann headlines alongside the Romanian trio of Raresh, Rhadoo and Pedro, whose Arpiar brand has seen its stock increase exponentially this past year. Moon Harbour, of course, was the label Circoloco's 10 Year anniversary compilation was released on, with Tanzmann and Arpiar contributed to the mammoth 6 disc collection.

Moreover, no Circoloco fiesta would be complete without a showing from the residents that the club's reputation is built on, so accordingly Tania Vulcano, Rene, System of Survival and Andrew Grant do the honours.

Row 14 is a new venue in Barcelona situated near the airport, which has a fascinating design incorporating 2 large outdoor terrace spaces that can be used as part of the main club depending on the weather. There is also a retractable roof; not even dc10 can compete with that!

As for Circoloco's Ibicenco home, we probably don't need to recount the 2008 palaver revolving DC10 but the situation hasn't changed much since the last news when we revealed the club was to be closed for a year.

That said, there had been rumours that about a New Year's Day 2009 event, which is clearly not happening now, yet Andrea Pelino did reveal exclusively to I-Voice that they hope the situation, enforcing their closure until October 2009, could be resolved before next summer and that they will keep fighting the decision. But it's Christmas, it's a time for cheer and for festivities. So let's enjoy this change of scenery for Circoloco New Year's Day, welcome back daytime clubbing for the crazy circus and look forward to 2009 with fresh optimism about dc10's fate.

Sorry we're Circo Loco and we're still here and we're still fighting! Season's Greetings!
