Sounding somewhere between Loco Dice's Pimp Jackson and Matthew Dear's Don and Sherri comes Trust courtesy of Germans Tiefschwarz. Released on Souvenir in collaboration with man of the moment Seth Troxler, this is an innovative track with broad appeal. Troxler is on hand to provide the customary American-accented drawl which brings the track to life. The production itself is an intriguing affair; a downright funky bassline complimented by what sounds like a random shouting match and alarm bells. Interesting then....

Having been kept out of the studio in recent times to concentrate on touring, it certainly seems like the brothers are back to what they do best; getting their heads down in the studio to produce catchy hooks to appeal to house and techno fans alike. Despite the fact the brothers have already released a 10 year celebration CD featuring all their most famed productions and remixes, it's refreshing to see them refuse to rest on their laurels.

What started as a chance meeting between Ali and Basti Schwarz with Detroit native-turned-Berliner Troxler at the Miami WMC, could yet become the defining sound of the 2009 season. With support from seasoned players such as Laurent Garnier, Trevor Jackson and Radio Slave as well as relative newcomers D'julz and Sebo K, Trust looks set to captivate dancefloors worldwide.

B side Roads is a more stripped back, minimal affair, which in all honesty is the only downside to this release. On this one, it's all about Trust. With appearances worldwide including Space Ibiza's famed We love... sessions, it looks set to be both a busy and rewarding summer for the brothers Tiefschwarz.
