Established in 2002 by duo's M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade as well as Dj T., Berlin's Get Physical imprint is now widely renowned as one of the city's, if not dance musics most innovative and widely respected labels.

Having recently released their 100th release and with the continues success of their 'Body Language' series, (recently mixed by Modeselektor) Get Physical is surely one of dance musics biggest success stories of the past decade.

Dj mag voted them "label of the year" in 2005 and Pitchfork, the influential music website stated that the label "increasingly resembles Warp records in its elevation of club dynamics to a steely artform."

All of these accolades of course, are due in no small part to the labels consistent output of pivotal dance tracks. Nowadays, the label have three very unique outlets, Get Physical, Kindisch and Get Digital, which together, represent a wide spectrum of contrasting styles.

Kindisch ('Childish' in German) has been particularly well received by the dance music masses. Conceived in 2006 by the Get Physical crew, it's emphasis is on releasing electronic music with an edge. It comes as no surprise then that their releases have ended up in the boxes of Claude Von Stroke, Lee Burridge and Jesse Rose - forward thinking Dj's who mirror the labels emphasis for somewhat unconventional sounds. Get Digital on the other hand, does exactly what it says on the tin, with an emphasis on releasing digital only tracks.

Always looking to further flex their musical prowess, Get Physical have recently signed Parisian duo Noze as well as Crosstown Rebeller Damian Lazarus to their ranks. This year, highlights have included Dj Koze's 'Reincarnations - The Remix Chapter 2001-2009', Modeselektor's contribution to the Body Language series and Raz O'Hara and the Odd Orchestra's II. The recently released LP by Lopazz & Casio Casino, Ambient Film Themes Vol. II promises further great things. In fact, if you haven't got down and dirty with this imprint yet, it really is high time you 'Get Physical.'
