Sebo K has been a key figure in his native German scene since the early 90s and enjoyed a residency at POGO before moving to Berlin Watergate and high-profile gigs across the globe. It was back in 2004, when he first collaborated with Mobilee Records on Rancho Relaxo that he developed what was to become his signature sound; deep Chicago house roots blended effortlessly with Detroit techno twists. It was Rancho Relaxo plus his ongoing partnership with Mobilee that went on to establish both Sebo K as a producer and the label as one to watch. Now, as he holds true to his belief of quality over quantity, he follows up his two previous releases on Mobilee, Diva and the Back To Back remixes, with Spirits, available from 7th December.

The EP opens with the original mix which takes shape with a funky start, cymbals and warped keyboard notes. Gradually a piano based melody creeps in that's complimented with harmonic strings to offer the full package. With its catchy piano riff, this track lends itself perfectly to the dance floor and its party-starting atmosphere is likely to be sampled and no doubt remixed by a host of DJs.

Next up and simply titled ‘Drum Version', the second mix enlists the help of producer Max Moya and his unmistakable flamenco-fused sounds. The track features an instantly fatter beat, drums replace the piano and a percussive deep house rhythm takes over to give it Sebo K's signature stamp.

With two rock solid tracks, the Spirits EP is packed full of funk and old school vibes and not only is it a welcome return from Sebo K after a stint of DJing part time, but also once again serves to confirm his partnership with Mobilee Records as the formula to instant success.
