Break 3000 and James Flavour aka Dirt Crew, deliver another slice of their trademark mixture of old school house and new school techno with this, their latest EP, 'Deep Cover'. Like their recently well received album, 'Blow', the duo's knack for chinning out a diverse range of quality electronic music sees no sign of faltering.

The original is a slow burner which eventually bursts to life courtesy of some clever synths and an array of warped vocals and even weirder sounds. Bumpy and catchy, it's the perfect ingredient with which to kick start the night before things get too hectic on the dance floor.

Roberto Rodriguez's mix is seriously old school, though not particularly appealing in the same way that say, Dj Sneak can be when he's injecting contemporary electronic music and providing it with an old school twist. The piano keys and snare play a prominent role throughout - though the track as awhile does sound somewhat formulaic.

Dessous' Vincenzo completes the package. The Berliner takes matters to typically deeper yet lighter planes before claps and bass intervene to inject the funk back in to the track. There's a lounge vibe to Vincenzo's mix which will earn it plaudits among the purveyors of the very deep and melodic such as Buzzin Fly's Ben Watt. If it's deep house you're after, Vincenzo's mix fits the bill very nicely indeed.

All in all, the 'Deep Cover' EP is a standard three track EP, seriously enhanced by Vincenzo's presence.
