Four years and twenty-four releases later, Mo's Ferry and producer Mikael Stavöstrand turn back and revisit this minimal techno classic - this time with a trio of new remixes including an eleven-and-a-half-minute slice of brilliance from Daniel Sanchez.

The results are mixed compared to the original but this redux is redeemed by one great remix.

Argentinean Odnu offers a remix that is forged in the dread fires of the dub techno tradition with warm bass lines and wafting melodies. What the remix lacks in soul and Jamaican roots is touched up with glitchy techno pastiches that give it some vital bounce. This is not enough to save the cut from feeling underdeveloped, short on character, and with a lack of depth, however.

In comparison, Daniel Sanchez offers a clinic on how to properly remix a track with a slow building potboiler that eventually explodes into a late night floor filler. His constant adding and layering of numerous elements over the eleven plus minutes of the track give it a lasting quality that balances the best parts of stripped down minimal against a hedonistic house groove.

Mikael Stavöstrand has the final word on this collection with a second pass that is more DJ tool than remix.

It's a shame that he decided not to explore any further new ground with his touchstone offering but perhaps he was wise enough to realize that lightning rarely strikes twice and instead continued to let the original speak for itself.
