Established in 2009 by Amsterdam native Daniel Sanchez, Bla Bla Records have been slowly but steadily establishing a reputation for themselves as purveyors of high quality, underground techno.

Sanchez, whose name you may recognise as one half of the brains responsible for 2007 minimal anthem 'Mumbling Yeah' (along with fellow Dutchman Kabale und Liebe) clearly has a talent for capturing talent as well as producing.  

Bla Bla records hoster reads like a who's who of contemporary, emerging techno talent. Despite being a mere 14 months old, the label have already released 10 EP's, from the likes of Ilario Alicante, IO, Alex Niggemann and Sanchez himself.  Not bad going for a label that originated from a series of minimal techno orientated club nights in Amsterdam.

These parties incidentally, were also the first of their type in the city, emphasising the fact that Sanchez has always been a man with a knack for discovering and championing new artists and sounds. The minimal backlash however, has meant the imprint is no longer confined to releasing techno tracks. The result of course, is that Bla Bla now have a more rounded sound, as evident by the reputation of some of the artists on board.

Along with Area Remote, Green and Trouw, Bla Bla further highlight the techno renaissance sweeping it's way across the lowlands.

With releases of the calibre of Mulder's 'All in the Hips' and Niggemann and Superlounges 'Mama Said/Play House! garnering the label attention across the dance music spectrum, more of the same is very welcome indeed.
