Acumen and Timid Boy's Time Has Changed continue their impressive vein of form here courtesy of Mihai Popoviciu's 'Hango N' EP. Having made a name for himself alongside Jay Bliss and Markus Homm via their summer 2009 smash 'Bis Co' on Diynamic, the EP in question acts as further proof of Romania's ever rising reputation as a fresh breeding ground for electronic music.

Kicking off matters is title track 'Hango N', a summery track with shades of Pitto's summer anthem 'Feelin'. With a driving baseline and a funky underlying appeal, the track will be sure to appease fans at the lighter side of the tech house spectrum.

'Solo Man' on the other hand, features a piano led baseline and crafty vocal which combine to bring the listener on a trippy, deep journey. Featuring a dreamy quality and an old school touch which is complimented by a massive breakdown and hordes of percussion.

'Good Afternoon', produced in collaboration with Popoviciu's part time collaborator Alex Modoi, strays down a similarly deep, dancefloor directed path before Amsterdam native Daniel Sanchez completes the package with his own reworking of 'Hango N'. Trumping even 'Solo Man' in terms of dance floor appeal, Sanchez's mix is melodic, catchy and continues his recent ascent towards the upper echelons of the electronic music scale. Quite why he finishes the track with the vocal "it was a pleasure to meet you. Love you guys" is somewhat beyond us but more crucially however, the track is sure to work a treat on the dance floor.

The same in fact, could be said for all four tracks on this release. The 'Hango N' EP then, is an impressively crafted EP, crammed with four fantastic tech house work outs.
