A feast for your eyes; 20:20 Vision present Village Underground all-dayerSummer is in full swing and while some of the biggest festivals may have shut up shop until next year, Ralph Lawson and his 20:20 Vision Recordings label are hell bent on ensuring the party season long continues. On 14th August, Lawson and his extraordinarily talented crew of like-minded DJs, producers and musicians will deliver an exclusive twelve-hour all-dayer at London's Village Underground. Together they'll showcase the full spectrum of artists and sounds that the imprint is known for, plus serve up a rare opportunity to see some of the acts that call 20:20 home.

So what to expect? Well, with 16 years experience of releasing influential material under their belt (including Wulf n Bear's ‘Raptures Of The Deep' and 20:20 Soundsystem's ‘Sliding Away'), you're guaranteed a pretty damn good show. Back in the 90s, the label was the brainchild of production obsessive Carl Finlow and Lawson who played the first ever record in Leeds institution Back To Basics, and still holds a residency today. Over time, not only have they nurtured many acts including Random Factor and Audiojack, they've also turned their talented hands to remixing the likes of Blaze and Will Saul, plus formed the 20:20 Soundsystem project - an electronic band composed of Lawson, Danny Ward, Fernando Pulichino and Julian Sanza.

This August, 20:20 Vision Soundsystem will be taking to Village Underground for their sole exclusive London gig this summer, and are joined by a list of jam-packed talent from the 20:20 family including Infant Records' head honcho Simon Baker. Also on the agenda is the critically acclaimed Julien Chaptal (a member of the Le Clic outfit), plus a solo spotlight appearance from Lawson himself. However, it doesn't stop there - support will take shape in the form of Wolf + Lamb's very own Jozif who says he has grown up with Lawson's label; "20:20 vision has been a mainstay in the UK house scene since I was a kid and always reeked of quality. I'm seriously excited about not only playing at the party, but seeing some of 20:20 Vision's hottest acts!" One of those acts will undoubtedly be wunderkind Motor City Drum Ensemble (Danilo Plessow), who kick-started his taste for music by playing drums at a minuscule six years old, before going on to find success at 22 with his Inverse Cinematics alias with Joachim Tobias, and his mighty ‘Raw Cuts' series.

If a line up as meaty as that isn't enough to get you grappling for tickets, the first 200 ravers through Village Underground's door will be treated to a free copy of the ‘We Love 20:20 Vision' Space Ibiza compilation, mixed by main man Ralph Lawson. Best to bear in mind the club can only squeeze in 800 party-seekers at the most, and with early bird tickets long gone, well, we needn't tell you what you need to do. Get involved.
