We come home for this week's 'In the groove...', as Climatic Sound, the label started in 2009 by Jose De Divina and Javi Murdok, gets the exposure.

De Divina is of course one of the island's best known true groove jocks, having been a staple at DC10 back before anyone had even heard of it and a consistent feature of events at Monza and Underground; calibre that speaks for itself.

Explaining their mantra as "to release house and deep house of the highest quality", Climatic have raided the secret vaults of Ibiza's underground with releases so far having included island favourites like Nima Gorji and more recently Tuccillo.

The profundity of the music was always set to make it a sure-fire winner with the groove-fanatics and the likes of Markus Fix, Matthias Tanzmann and Ray Okpara have been all over the releases, which now approach the double figures mark in little over a year in operation.

One of the more notable features of Climatic releases is their artwork. Great pride is taken in the fact that each release has its own unique artwork, with apparently "each creating a special synergy between art and music".

The thing is, the artwork really is different each with it's own freakishness and morbidity; death, destruction and apocalypticism never seem far away. You can see the artwork for yourself, but the plane crash, nuclear playground and hermit crab in a caravan all make you look at least twice, which is a rare feat in modern record selling.
