Rather than host a two day affair like some of their contemporary island clubs, Amnesia have once again taken the bold approach of hosting their infamous gay friendly Matinee alongside a number of the Cocoon mainstays for their closing bash on the 2nd October.

Kicking off with the Matinee All Stars on the terrace (whereby resident vocalist Rebeka Brown will perform for the last time this season) Amnesia's closing party, is, at the least, arguably the most diverse of the 2010 season. Matinee will eventually make way for the altogether darker techno sounds of Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice and Marco Carola, who'll be flanked by the clubs residents in the shape of Mar-T, Les Schmitz, Brian Cross and Caal Smile.

While Amnesia's closing party line up is hardly unique, we are at least being promised three different floors of music. Taking the main room and the terrace as two rooms, we're not altogether sure where exactly this mythical third floor is. We are however, intrigued to find out what exactly Amnesia are planning. Whether there's an outdoor stage or whether one of the rooms is being divided in to two different floors, we can only speculate, yet we are altogether sure that clubbers in attendance should expect the unexpected.

The line ups, while impressive, are also somewhat formulaic, so we will be expecting something extra spectacular from Amnesia to ensure they sign out for the 2010 with a bang rather than a whimper. With competition for clubbers especially fierce at this late stage, Amnesia's "El Cierre" (as they've dubbed the party) is sure to have more than a few tricks up its sleeve...
