SEEME 5 Music conference: Go Digital – Do LiveAs the saying goes, the best things come to those who wait, and this September your patience will be pleasantly rewarded with the fifth annual South-East European Music Event (SEEME) at the Hilton Hotel in Sofia Bulgaria. Despite being later than planned, you're in for an even bigger and better event this year as music industry professionals from Bulgaria, South East Europe, North America, and the rest of the world gather to connect and share their experience, plus attend the prestigious SEEME awards and the requisite three days worth of parties.

The SEEME conference began in 2005 with its mission firmly focused on creating connections between industry professionals, to introduce key players from the European music scene, and for all in attendance to share their knowledge through workshops, discussions, showcases and demonstrations of new technologies. The awards were launched in 2008 as a natural extension of SEEME to recognise some of the world's best events, acts, photographers and much more.

At last year's ceremony, accolades were given to both local and international achievers including Exit Festival in Serbia (Best SEE Event), Cavo Paradiso in Greece (Best SEE Club), Richie Hawtin (Best International DJ) and Stephan Panev from Bulgaria (Best SEE Upcoming Artist). Those taking part in 2009's event included Swedish producer and DJ Stonebridge who sung its praises; "It felt like being back at the very first ADE [Amsterdam Dance Event] conference. You have plenty of time to meet and discuss with fellow professionals, as the location is the right size and layout. Very well organized as well and Sofia is a beautiful city!"

At this year's conference, guest speakers will consist of a well-blended mix of producers, talent and booking agency founders, A & R executives and many more. These include Rob Marshall, Sony Music International's Digital Business Development manager, Arash Shirazi, founder and manager of Bullit Bookings (the agency that looks after Dubfire, Audiofly, Paul Woolford, Umek and more), plus Mark Berry, who as a Canadian producer has achieved 36 international gold and platinum record awards, and chairs the Toronto-based entertainment company Attack Media Group.

Last but not least, SEEME have also organised their own 'festival', which includes 20 parties at top bars and clubs in the heart of Sofia. Not only will this allow both labels, promoters and clubs to showcase their skills, it also provides all involved the perfect opportunity to kick-back, relax and indulge in some well-earned downtime in amongst some of the best local and international artists.

Three day package deals for SEEME 5: GO DIGITAL - DO LIVE are still available. Tickets range from 80 - 120 Euro, which includes access to all conferences, club programs and awards.
