New Year's EveNew Year's Eve is supposed to be the party that ends all parties; the night when the whole world comes together to let its hair down, sink a few jazz beverages and celebrate the fact that we're all still here on this crazy old merry-go-round we call Earth.

But every year it's the same old drama. Where are you going to go? What are you going to wear? Who are you going to kiss at midnight? Well, while you're going to have to leave asking those final two questions to your Magic 8 Ball, we can certainly help out with the first one.

Wherever you are in the world there's bound to be something going on, and while we sadly can't list details of every single NYE party going on this year, we have done our best to pick ten of the best events happening in ten different cities.

What's more, we've listed them in the order of sunrise, so if you do happen to possess a Superman-style gift of flight, you can start at the top of the list and work your way down for the most epic end of year night of your life! Or, alternatively, just pick your favourite one and do that like the rest of us...

If you’re lucky enough to live in this particular hemisphere, New Year’s Eve signals the start of the long, hot summer season. And, if you live in Australia, the only place to celebrate NYE is Sydney, of course. Back for another year at the fabulously surreal Luna Park fairground, the Harbour Party promises to be the city’s number one night out.

Topping the bill are Berlin-based electro duo Digitalism, who are poised to release their long-awaited second album and will appear here supported by Australia’s own Sneaky Sound System, ‘Hey Hey’ house star Dennis Ferrer and one of the hardest working DJs of 2010, Riva Starr. Don’t forget to peek your head out at midnight to watch the fireworks on the bridge!
