Loft Studios Presents Autumn Series As autumn descends upon London, so too does a series of high-profile events at Loft Studios, the white-washed stunner of a location, that in next-to-no-time has put itself firmly on the map.

Its beautiful setting - exposed beams, high ceilings and glass canopy - will play host to three Friday night events on 12th and 26th October, then 30th November.

The first one brings with it Richie Hawtin’s M-nus label and calls on two of the imprint’s authorities to demonstrate its vibe. First it’s Barem, who hails from Buenos Aires and originally earned his music stripes in his teens playing blues and rock guitar, before experimenting with electronic sounds and becoming part of the M-nus crew when he met Richie Hawtin in Buenos Aires. Not long after, Barem released Opal on the Min2Max LP.

Secondly it’s Heartthrob, an artist whom has been immersed in music since childhood thanks to a musician father and a record store in the family. After a move to New York, and a chance meeting with Magda, Troy Pierce and becoming neighbours with Richie Hawtin, his music was debuted at Mutek festival in 2003 and since, has released and remixed on Get Physical, Esperenza, Contexterrior, as well as M-nus.

On 26th October, it’s time for a Halloween special – complete with a view of the local graveyard to add to the atmosphere. At the helm of the night are Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Robin Ordell. Dan will be dropping after a Circo Loco season in Ibiza and reigning in the support from good friend and Circo Loco counter-part, Dyed Soundorom DJ.

Back in xxx, Dan spotted Dyed Soundorom and has been supporting him ever since, fully backing Soundorom’s releases on Crosstown Rebels, Supplement Facts and Dan’s own Freak n’Chic. London-based Robin Ordell ties up the spooky night’s line up – we’ll be expecting to see his famous passion for soulful grooves, funk and dub which have led him to gigs at fabric, Kubicle and a residency at the East London Sunday session, Half Baked.

The last chapter in the Loft sessions sees Chicago house stalwart Derrick Carterdoing disco’. He’ll be rocking out the feel-good tunes alongside Horse Meat Disco’s Severino and Terry Farley of Junior Boy’s Own, plus Dan Beaumont whom self-describes his sound as “A heady mix of vintage house music from Chicago, New York, Detroit and beyond, classic underground disco, sublime Italo oddities and 80s pop noir”.

If you haven’t been down to Loft already, there’s certainly no time like the present, and with this new hat-trick of house sessions, you can guarantee a bit of disco, a bit of techno and one helluvah beautiful setting.
