The Warehouse Leeds Announce 2013 Line ups - From 26th january to 31st MarchLeeds based venue The Warehouse has always been held in high esteem in the city, no surprise given the fact that it’s been hosting a myriad of influential live acts and DJs since its conception way back in 1979. 2013 looks set to emphatically keep this tradition alive, with another veritable batch of talent set to descend on a venue that’s draped in history.

Its sharp décor, on point Function One and three different rooms however (including the colossal amphitheatre sized main room) ensures it’s a venue that spends more time looking forward than in the rear view mirror.

The big one of course, is their 34th birthday party on Easter Sunday, March 31st, for it’s here where the genre-defying Belgian duo 2manydjs will headline proceedings alongside another man with a penchant for eclecticism, local boy done good, Mr. Paul Woolford. What a night that should be.

But that’s far from all that’s happening at The Warehouse over the upcoming months. Leeds clubbing institution Back to Basics will mark their return to the venue with a special ViVa showcase on 2nd February (complete with Steve Lawler and Darius Syrossian in tow), while they’re also finding time to accommodate a Moda Black party in March, with another local talent, Miguel Campbell, the prime draw amongst a line-up that also includes Radio 1 faves Jaymo & Andy George and fledgling Irish beatsmith Ejeca.

Eat my Beat will be back with more of their joyously abrasive bass heavy sounds on the 26th January and March 23rd, where they’ll host Jack Beats and Toddla T respectively. Vintage house lovers will also want to watch out for the return of the Hard Times parties to Leeds, where NYC legend Danny Krivit will headline.

The gay-friendly, ‘anything goes’ Speed Queen party is set to do their thing on Valentines night, while fans of harder edged sounds will be appeased by the return of Hektik on March 16th. ‘Old-school’ ravers will want to dust the cobwebs off their dancing shoes for Easter Sunday, as Graeme Park, Brandon Block and K-Klass join Jon da Silva for a party that’s sure to hark back to a time when house music truly was a ‘feeling’. With much more besides to be announced over the upcoming weeks, these are heady times indeed for a venue that’s still evidently, got plenty of life in it yet.
