Mixmag and What Matters present the 501 seriesThis April - 13th to be precise - sees the freshly refurbished Westbourne Studios in Notting Hill host the equally new ‘501 Series’. It’s the brainchild of Mixmag and London-based promoters, What Matter’s.

The partners are jumping on the city’s trend for intimate parties; where a single headliner plays an extended set to a capped-number, and they’ve chosen Uner to kick the sessions off.

Uner will be leaving behind the likes of Berlin’s Watergate and Ibiza’s Space to play a six hour soundscape at the 500 capacity West London venue.

For this Spanish producer, one word fittingly describes his success over the last year; immense. Not only has been cited in Resident Advisor’s ‘Top 100 Most Charted Artists’ in 2012, three of his tracks - ‘Cocoua’, ‘Pallene’, and ‘Sol’ - also featured in the website’s ‘100 Most Charted Tracks’. Alongside this, his work is no stranger to labels such as Diynamic, Get Physical, Cadenza and Visionquest.

The first of nine events planned for the 501 series presents the perfect opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with Uner, and in a beautiful location as envisioned by Seb Fontaine (music policy is down to Coolis Kalopetris).

The evening’s proceedings also double-up as the official warm-up party for Vertigo Festival, a brand new venture planned to take place this coming August within the Italian mountains.

After Uner’s set the series in motion, Mixmag and What Matter’s have a host of renowned acts to follow. Audiofly, Oliver Huntemann, Pig & Dan, Livio & Roby, Noir, Monika Kruse, Todd Terje, plus KiNK & Neville have all been secured and shall be coming at you via Westbourne Studio’s Funktion 1 Res 5 sound system.

Watch out East London; thanks to Mixmag and What Matter’s, West could well be about to give you a run for your money.
