FOUND - Haggerston Park, London – June 15thFOUND started life as a series of 15 underground club events in London two years ago. This summer though, they will unveil their debut festival event, in Shoreditch in East London. Taking place in Haggerston Park on June 15th, the festival welcomes 5 of the capital’s most discerning club brands to host their own stages, each presenting a plethora of DJ talent.

The FOUND stage welcomes UK stalwart Maya Jane Coles, a back-to-back set from Hot Natured’s Lee Foss and fellow American MK and a performance from legendary Brooklyn native Todd Terry. Saints & SonnetsHuxley, Leeds based duo Audiojack and Dirtybird producer Shadow Child complete the stage’s lineup alongside Santé, Cyril Hahn and Voyeur.

Acclaimed promoters Tief and Trouble Vision team up for another of the four stages. Performing on it will be InnervisionsHenrik Schwarz who will be brining a special live set and New York label owners and party extraordinaires, Wolf + Lamb. They will be joined by the versatile Floating Points, burgeoning UK outfit Darkstar and Beats In Space boss Tim Sweeney.

The Magna Carta stage will host sets from Crosstown Rebel Subb-An, longtime Circo Loco resident, Shonky and Amine Edge & Dance. Crèche resident Alexis Raphael will go back-to-back with Resonance Records boss Max Chapman and there will sets from wAFF and others too.

Trix will host Axel Boman, Midland, Waifs & Strays, Breach, Tom Demac (Live),  The Menendez Brothers, Schumen and Goulcher. Offering a perfect snap shot of the musical melting pot that makes the capital such a centre for electronic music around the world, FOUND looks set to be a true highlight of the summer.

What do you think of when you imagine your typical summertime event / festival in London?
Hundreds of writhing, tanned bodies with scant clothing, pulsating music from stacks of speakers, complete debauchery… Just kidding! Probably a lot of pale, mostly clothed bodies, lots of ray-bans but plenty of happy faces enjoying the precious bits of sun.

Do you feel that your sound or aesthetic is particularly suited to an outdoor / daytime / festival vibe? Why?
Yeah.. no.. as long as people are somewhat optimistic about life our music will suit either just fine!

Please can you tell us about your new Crew Love concept?
Crew Love is the next generation of the Wolf + Lamb vs Soul Clap family saga with new artists like Navid Izadi, Pillow Talk, Nick Monaco and new live shows and an even more free-for-all vibe than we've had until now. No set-times, more live components and even our own in-house dressing room to funk up some of the more boring apparel.

What do you find so appealing about having such a tight, collective feel?
Honestly we don't really know of anything different, it's always been this way for us from the first artist that joined our label to the new Crew Love shows. 12 artists are better than one, or two in our case.

What plans have you got to tour the concept this year?
We have Crew Love Barcelona / Sonar, Ibiza, Berlin, Moscow and a whole shit ton of US shows. We've been absent from the USA for the last few years while busy getting to know Europe but this year we're focusing on connecting with our home country. The shows are great because they're different each time, and adapt to the surroundings, we're excited to take the crew on the road and see what happens.

Are you relishing the chance to play the very first edition of a festival?
It’s an honour to be invited for the first edition of the festival; I’ll be going down in history as one of the original Found Festival crew.

Will you approach it any differently do you think? It’s essentially a blank canvas so there are no preconceptions etc that you have to face.
No, my approach won’t be different at all. I always hope to burn the crowd with good music and with any luck get rebooked for Found 2014!

What do you particularly enjoy about festival season?
It changes the vibe a lot, clubs are great but isn’t it great to play outside with thousands of people in view. I also love daytime parties… and on top of that the festival season is mainly during the summer, and who doesn’t love summer?

Where will you playing in Ibiza this summer?
I will play mainly at Circoloco DC10, they have been my family for a while now and DC10 continues to be one of the best clubs in the world for me, I enjoy playing there so much. I’ll be there for the opening party with my mates Dan Ghenacia and Dyed Soundorom, and we’ll also be doing our second Apollonia showcase at DC10 in August, as well as other solo dates there during the summer. Super excited!

What else have you got coming up in the coming months?
The summer is gonna be super busy, a lot of individual gigs, plus a lot of festivals with Apollonia around Europe and also in the States. I guess our first BIG summer opener will be We Are FSTVL in the UK, just before Circoloco Opening.

Music wise the big news for Apollonia is that we have mixed the next compilation for Fabric  and also the first Apollonia team EP will be out on the label in July, so keep an eye out for both coming soon!
