Copy Paste Soul - Say Do EP on Gruuv

Gruuv Records can always be relied upon to drop new music that doesn't follow trends, yet has plenty of appeal and oozes quality in every respect.

The label, owned by Audiojack, has released music from the likes of Purple Velvet, Darius Syrossian, Jimmy Edgar, A1 Bassline and plenty more besides – I usually find that even if I'm not 100% keen on the music, I will always take a moment to listen to it and am never disappointed by the quality.

On that note, here's their latest release which has been produced by elusive producer Copy Paste Soul... not much is known about him (or her?), but hey, it's all about the music, right?

The title track is a glorious, almost anthemic cut with a a catchy melody and bright rising chords.

'Only One' has a more melodramatic feel to it, juddering percussion and airy synth lines bring it all together while a morose, pitched-down vocal sets it all off.

Lastly 'Motive' features almost live sounding percussion with hefty basslines, channelling UK garage of years gone by and combining it with a fresh, contemporary vibe.

Well done to all involved, this is a great EP.
