Once again this year Movement Festival broke all previous records, both musically, but also culturally, in 2013 as 28,000 people (5% more than last year) from all over the world took part during the 9 day festival.
Staged across the beautiful Italian city of Turin within eclectic spaces that included a the music Conservatory G.Verdi, Lingotto Fiere, local university, Movie Studios and nightspot, Movement brought 50 international artists as well as a slew of local talent including names like Martinez Brothers, DJ Harvey, Dixon, Maceo Plex, Adam Beyer, Derrick May, Magda and brands like Circo Loco and others.
Movement prides itself on being socially and culturally responsible, so is happy to report that thanks to a strong collaboration with the most important Italian industrial corporations and 30 local suppliers, the festival lead to the employment of more than 400 people and a deep interaction with the tourism operators of Piemonte and Torino.
As such, thanks to Movement, 250 hotel nights were booked and over 1.000 cab rides were been taken, with the result and injection of €1.000.000 into the local economy.
Movement would like to thank everyone who took part this year, either as a party animal or staff member, and already we are working hard to make sure next year is even more impressive!
