The inimitable and irrepressible Back to Basics is to hit another milestone on November 23rd as it hits an incredible 22 years in operation. By now it’s a well told tale that the Leeds party has played out every single Saturday for more than two decades, rolling with the times yetnever forgetting the house history for its early days.
As such the birthday line-up reflects that, combining old heroes with new school talents in another huge party at The Garage – the hot club run by B2B residents Tristan Da Cunha and Frenchy. As ever there will be a theme, and this one is punk, with the party coming under the banner – Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s Back to Basics.
Running from 10am – 10pm in the gritty rave space that is The Garage with its Chevy fire truck DJ booth and cosy second room in record store Waxwerks, headlining will be US house godfather Doc Martin, with Circus boss Yousef, Big Audio Dynamite’s Don Letts, Visionquest starlet Laura Jones, Kris Needs, long time resident and 2020 boss Ralph Lawson, Cocoon’s Gavin Herlihy, Australian sensation Francis Inferno Orchestra and a selection of close friends, residents and DJ greats like Sean P, Greg Lord, Krysko, James Holdroyd, James Barnsley, Jon Woodall, Chinny, Inkie and many more.
