Hector Couto is a name that's being increasingly talked of in influential circles of late, and one glance at a discography that's already endeared him to renowned labels such as VIVa , Hot Creations and Get Physical prove he's more than one to watch, but rather, an established talent. His latest release for Definition: Music would certainly seem to underline the point, as he puts in another impressive showing on the Sunday Anthem EP.

That said, his track (the original) is purely the catalyst for great things elsewhere - and is his sole contribution on an EP that's heavy-loaded with dancefloor fare. Even so, Sunday Anthem, is – as its title suggests – an expert number and one that's every bit as ambitious and mental as you'd imagine. Soaked with groove and warm pads, it uses its rattling vocal to great effect; letting it lead the charge and making it the cornerstone around with the other elements are played out.

As mentioned earlier, it's the remixes that really prove this EP a cut above the rest though. The first of these arrives thanks to a relatively unknown quantity: Yorksire producer Dene Antony. His remix is a joy to behold: a track that doesn't pander to any fashionable sounds but instead makes its own distinct impression thanks to the producer's obviously well-honed skills.

Label head Definition AKA Dimitri Schnider then takes the reigns for the EP's closing gambit; a fine remix that makes smart use of some warm, ethereal pads and a host of cosmic tinges that help inject it with a futuristic sheen.
