Fat Sushi - Hana EP on Suara Music

If you like tech house and club ready beats then you will have already made yourself very familiar with Suara Music. It is a label run by Spaniard Coyu that puts out a lot of music and is never far from the charts. The label boss himself is a fine producer and DJ called Coyu and is someone with a big love of cats— but here the label looks to a Swiss pair for the next EP. That pair is Fat Sushi and together the producers cook up some classy house business.

Before now they have been played by the likes of Marco Carola and Nicole Moudaber and surely this new release will win them many more fans. The first cut of the two here is Hana, a patient and slow burning cut with big moody drones and slick percussive cycles. Some rich melodies add a real sense of drama and majesty and confirm this to be a truly classy club track.

On the flip, Paia is slightly more direct but is also nicely tripped out, with its widescreen chords and colourful pads. Well produced and expertly musical, this is house music with a real sense of charm and character.
