Regressions Sessions has carved a name for itself as one of the UK's top party crews - now they have made the inevitable foray into releasing with their own label that aims to offer up the sort of club rocking beats that has made their raucous, unhinged parties a firm crowd favourite. And helping them unleash their first EP in fine style is brand affiliate and DJ Mad Villains, offering up a fresh cut, another flanked by Maxine Garman and then a prime DJOKO remix.
First up, 'Hit the Club' is a naughty house tune with driving, heavy weight bass and whirring machines laying a real crazy vibe on the table. A soulful and contemporary feel brings with it swathes of warmth and colour; a fine tapestry of rhythmic beats.
West Coast, featuring Maxine Garman, is a nice and old school feeling house tune with low slung bass, vamping chords and reversed stabs. It’s ravey and deep and sure to stand out.
Rounding off, the Djoko remix is a more hard-hitting and moody affair with blocky beats, scraping perc and rude vocals that slam into each other in a demanding combo. It finishes the EP off in high impact fashion and leaves us awaiting the next instalment of RS's foray into music.
