Cristoph is a producer from Newcastle who has a varied sound that takes in prog house, deep house, tech and plenty more, He has been making waves on labels like Knee Deep In Sound with his recent album, '8', and now he gets a leg up from Brazilian label Warung. Tied to the seminal beach club of the same name, this one is sure to get his name out there in the South American scene.
Across both cuts, Cristoph shows off his eclectic styles with two rather different sounds. 'Make Out' is playful and melodic and feels like an organic jungle conception with bird calls and tumbling toms, woozy and intoxicating as melodies swoop in and swoon about between channels.
On the flip, proceedings are more straight talking and down to business in its aesthetic. 'Prisoner' is a deep and dark tech-house cut, designed for working up floors into a sweaty mess. The claps are coarse and the synths are paranoid as they snake and sweep about with real menace. Overall both tracks are sure to pop off this summer.
