You are never short of DJs to catch on a night out in Ibiza. But while the superstars may be aplenty, the island is always a great place to catch future stars in the making or under the radar masters who you might not have heard of.

Think Jamie Jones or Dyed Soundorom, who honed their crafts playing on the island in the early 2000s or Jon Sa Trinxa, the Balearic master resident famed for laying down eclectic sounds at his Sa Trinxa beach bar.

Here is our pick of the residents you need to check out, who are already making waves on the island's music scene this summer.

Manu Gonzales - Open Lab / Hï

A true Balearic baby, Manu Gonzales was born in Ibiza in 1990 and spent most of his childhood working in the Discos Delta Record store, soaking in the sound of the island and watching DJs before him indulge their tastes. Such a broad introduction to music enabled Manu to interpret his influences and channel them into his trademark sounds today, ranging from Chicago House to Detroit Techno.

The young DJ now has a global fanbase and holds Open Lab every Monday on Ibiza Global Radio. After playing in the best clubs all over the island, the Ibiza DJ Awards winner found a home in Sankeys after several solid performances at Tribal Sessions and has now launched a 2017 residency with Hï. Check out a true and rare credit to the island.

Paul Reynolds - Ushuaïa / Hï / Melon Bomb
After arriving on the island over a decade ago, Paul began playing at several small scale bars and clubs. A few years on in 2016, he held residencies at two of the island's biggest clubs, Space and Ushuaia and this year he is back at Ushuaia, new club Hï and is a member of the soulful house/disco DJ collective, Melon Bomb.

It is not uncommon for Paul to play extended sets of all sorts of dance music for up to seven hours without dropping a beat or loosing the crowd. He was last person to play a record on Space terrace and since his beloved club shut he has been a resident at house and disco party Glitterbox at Hï.

Kevin Cook - Underground

Underground is without doubt living up to its name each year; their in-house nights consistently push forward the more forward thinking strains of house. Kevin Cook has been turning heads this season as part of the label party NGTraxx, inviting the likes of Nima Gorji and Barac for sessions.

Playing at the club throughout the winter also has lead Kevin to making time in the studio, securing releases on Welt Sounds, KG Trax and In Haus Wax so far. Definitely one to get your ears around.

Stephane Ghenacia - Sankeys Sabados
Is Stephane the brother of Apollonia's Dan Ghenacia? Yes.

Does he need to ride off his brothers reputation to take Sankeys Basement by storm? Definitely not. The French producer has been running the Colors Lnd party in London since 2013 and been releasing on his own label Colors since the launch - some of which were included in Kerri Chandlers 'Kaoz Theory' compilation.

He is also part of the Fabric family, so keep your eyes peeled for him around Europe once the season draws to a close - in the meantime, get yourself to Sankeys basement on a Saturday to check the man in the flesh.

Bedouin - Heart Ibiza

Bedouin is Brooklyn-based production and DJ partnership Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki. Although new to Saga and the Ibiza scene, the pair have brought a new and exciting twist to Heart Ibiza in 2017. A highlight booking of which is surely DJ Koze, who will play alongside the duo on August 27th.

After their 'Ride Into the Unknown' EP on Cityfox last year and a head-turning set at Burning Man, the pair have been playing around the world and affirming their status at Heart every Sunday. Catch them while you can!
