The death of a TV actor's daughter at Bestival made national headlines on Tuesday and rounded off a traumatic weekend for the UK festival.

Louella Eve Fletcher-Michie was found dead in a woodland area on the edge of the Festival site on Monday and a murder hunt was launched. A male friend was arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying a Class A drug.

Yesterday however the family announced that the 25 year old had taken an illegal substance before her death and the man was released under investigation.

"An initial postmortem examination showed no clear signs of an assault," a Dorset police spokesman said: “However, further examinations will need to take place over the coming weeks, including toxicology, in order to establish if there are any substances in her system or other suspicious circumstances."

The girl's father plays neurosurgeon Guy Self in BBC medical drama Holby City and in a statement to a UK tabloid newspaper, the family repeated that they did not believe there was any intended malice involved.

Bestival's promoters, DJ Rob Da Bank and his team announced via their Facebook page they were devastated to hear the tragic news. "We continue to support the police in their ongoing investigation and our thoughts and prayers are with all the woman’s family and friends."

The tragic death rounded off an especially traumatic weekend for the Bestival team who spent the weekend battling the overpowering wind and rain that closed the festival for a few hours on Sunday.
