There’s a good reason all of these parties are already sold out - make friends with some scalps or suffer some crippling FOMO as we select our ten hottest ADE parties.

1

HET WEEKEND - DE SCHOOL

The only party not sold out at the time of writing, but that’s largely due to its opening hours. Amsterdam’s leading light likes to take an alternative path to the rest of the city’s nightlife and for this year’s ADE week it will open up for a whopping 62 hours.

The lineup is typically leftfield. You might not recognise a lot of the names on there but you can trust in the De School’s bookers impeccable taste to put on a marathon musical feast. It will also be the best party to catch some of the city’s homegrown stars like Young Marco, Job Jobse, Sandrien, Tom Trago on their most hallowed of home turfs.

Rush Hour at Shelter

If there’s one party that’s a surefire certainty to go off, it’s Rush Hour’s annual ADE week session. Amsterdam’s favourite record shop is a mecca for geeks worldwide and its label has become the standard for quality house music.

Chez Damier tops the bill alongside one of the city’s finest selectors Antal, with Japanese deep house Socihi Terada on live duties and homegrown heroes Tom Trago and San Proper bringing up the rear. As always with Shelter, keep your phone in your pocket and your hands in the air.

HYTE at Warehouse Elementenstraat

When a party is that good, why not do it all over again? That’s the approach HYTE take to their annual Friday night ADE week party and star booking Ricardo Villalobos who makes his regular appearance for the Dutch promoters. This year, the FUSE crew host room two while Seth Troxler, Steve Rachmad, Sonja Moonear and Ferro co-headline the main room and even though there is more than one HYTE blowout this week, this is always our favourite.

Ben Klock presents Photon at Gashouder

The Gashouder is to Amsterdam ravers what the Colloseum was to Ancient Rome’s gladiators. Does that make Ben Klock Maximus? He probably wouldn’t look out of place facing down a raging lion to be fair.

But as far as techno parties go, this should be equally savage. The last of seven Awakenings shows, it’s another entry in Klock’s new Photon tour concept and features long time collaborator Marcel Dettmann, Etapp Kyle,
Ø [Phase] (live), Rødhåd and Dax J

Giegling at Ruigoord

After the social media storm that went down after Giegling label head Konstantin’s sexist comments were revealed by a Groove Magazine journalist earlier in the year, the label were slammed by critics for being an all too often, all male outfit.

You’ll be pleased to know that there are some women on this particular showcase lineup. And despite the controversy this year’s ADE show was one of the quickest events to sell out.

Every ADE week night at the Gashouder is massive. All easily merit inclusion in this list but we’re only making room for two so our other pick is techno’s fastest rising star, Joseph Capriati. The Neapolitan dance floor favourite brings the Wighonomy Brothers, Dubfire and a special guest.
