The Evolution Of My Sound: Nina Kraviz

The techno queen sits down with UK journalist Joe Muggs to talk about her journey through sound, from discovering electronic music to starting her own record label. This rare opportunity offers personal insight into the life of one of dance music’s most exciting artists.

Against the Clock, presented by FACTmag

A studio filled with equipment invites participants to face the clock and create their best attempt at a track in ten minutes, providing a great opportunity for any producers to get their hands on some of the finest music production gear on the market. Three special guests have been invited to face the clock and the winner’s production will be posted on FACTmag’s soundcloud page.

This one hour session presents a guided tour around Joris Voorns personal setup, dissecting his production techniques and secrets from over 20 years of experience in producing music. Voorn also covers how modern technological advances have influenced his methods in the studio, presenting a live demonstration revealing how he created some of the sounds and atmospheres heard in his most recent work.

Roland Masterclass with The Egyptian Lover

As part of a series across the weekend, Roland has invited a selection of their favourite leading artists to present their methods with Roland equipment across both performance and production. Thursday afternoon sees house music legend Egyptian Lover showcase his soothing 808 sounds that crafted his work way back in 1984.

Native Sessions: Discussing Monkey Business with Modeselektor and Gajek.

Two of electronic music’s most influential figures, Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary aka Modeselektor sit down to discuss their story from their first ever productions to establishing two of the most respected labels in Monkeytown Records and 50 Weapons. Recent signing Gajek joins the talk as they discuss the importance of developing new talent and keeping things fresh for a label.
