One of the world's best live venues: Berlin's Funkhaus.

A disco legend, a techno star and an experimental threeway at the Funkhaus, we select our favourite live shows to grace Berlin for the rest of the month.

Actress, The Field and Photay at Funkhaus

Actress debuts a brand new live audio-visual show at the Funkhaus on November 18. The British born producer and Ninja Tune star should prove a real treat in the venue that used to house the GDR radio station for East Berlin prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Swedish ambient act The Field has been wowing fans on Kompakt and describes his style as "somewhere between soundscapes and classic songs." While Brooklyn's Photay has been heavily championed by Gilles Peterson and completes what should be an exceptional night for live music in Berlin.

Ø [Phase] at Berghain

Yes it’s obvious and notoriously difficult to get in, but it doesn’t get much more techno than Ø Phase on live set duties in Berghain. The UK star of the much loved Belgian imprint Token has dominated the hard techno circuit in the last few years, playing all around the world, but finding feverish popularity in Berghain. His 2012 break out EP, ‘Binary Opposition,’ and two head turning follow up albums, have made him one of the scene's biggest players. The buzz in techno circles around his 2017 Dekmantel show is still going strong, so expect a live show to remember on November 25.

Leroy Burgess at Prince Charles

Disco nerds you are in for a real treat on November 18. Motorcity Drum Ensemble is curating a special party that will bring disco legend Leroy Burgess to Berlin with a full nine piece band. Burgess is a legendary and prolific, underground disco and boogie producer from the 70s and 80s with a minefield of important production and songwriting credits to his name that signpost some of the era's best records. MCDE will pay tribute to his idol with a special set on the night also.
