Maybe you missed ADE. Or maybe you had such a good time in October you just want to go straight back. Whatever your reason, you don't really need an excuse to visit Amsterdam but just in case you do, we select five of the best parties before the year's end.

DJ Harvey Starts a New Amsterdam Residency

You may have had the pleasure of witnessing him swaggering around Pikes Ibiza on Monday nights over the summer, so after a particularly successful ADE show at De Marktkantine, you will be pleased to know DJ Harvey is back to Amsterdam on December 30. His charisma is rivalled only by his record selection which has made him one of the most esteemed selectors in the business. Amsterdam locals, praise your rave Gods; Harvey will begin a new residency on this date at De Marktkatine on December 30 with a special all night long set.

Part 3 at De Marktkantine, 30 Dec, Jan van Galenstraat 6, 1051 KM Amsterdam. For more Information click here.

Gerd Janson and San Proper Guarantee Fireworks

Running Back boss and Robert Jonson regular, Gerd Janson had a huge summer of gigs yet again this year, with a run of impressive appearances at Festivals like Houghton, Circoloco's ADE show and also celebrating 15 years of Running Back at Fabric. Amsterdam local San Proper is, as ever, hot property around Europe and continues to charm crowds with his famed disco blends, off kilter moments and well applied acid riffs.

Running back at Shelter, December 8, Overhoeksplein 3, 1031KS, Amsterdam. For more Information click here.

Point G Gets Raw at Sugarfactory

If you haven’t already been floored by one of Point G’s live sets, now is the time to do so. The man of many aliases, including DJ Gregory and Africanism Allstars, saves his rawest cuts for his Point G live show and his story is one of a producer returning to the sound he does best: underground house. He has his 1998 track 'Underwater' to thank for it. A fusion of skippy, garage beats and trippy chords recorded under the name '.G,' before realising mainstream stardom as DJ Gregory, Underwater became a cult collector's item on Discogs and was re-released on Apollonia in 2013. Since then, he's been on an impressive run of releases and for lovers of raw, MPC house, his live set is one of the best in the game.

Club house at Sugarfactory, December 1, Lijnbaansgracht 238; 1017 Binnenstad; Amsterdam. For more Information click here.

Amsterdam's Leading Party Crew Turn Five

The VBX crew and their forward thinking underground parties were without doubt one of the best things about ADE 2017. From throwing one of the weekend's hottest sell out nighttime events, to never ending after parties, the music taste showcased was on point as ever. For their fifth anniversary, their four most trusted resident DJs will play together at Shelter Club as a special thank you from all the promoters and an ode of respect for unquestionably ramping up VBX’s status over the years. Heading the bill and in the midst of a major breakthrough, long-term VBX label charterer Ferro will bring one of his famed modular heavy club sets.

VBX at Shelter, December 9, Overhoeksplein 3, 1031KS, Amsterdam. For more Information click here.

Jeff Mills Schools Amsterdam Once Again

Where do we begin to list the reasons to catch Detroit Legend Jeff Mills? Usually assisted by his staple 909 drum machine, Mills’ fast paced and slamming techno sets have been extraordinary since the 90s and still remain as timeless. His DJ sets are to be experienced, as well as listened to. Alongside him at the grungy Amsterdam Bos, techno royalty is in abundance. As if Mills was’t enough, fellow Detroit legend Kevin Saunderson is heading things up alongside Rødhåd, Secret Cinema and Steve Rachmad. Vril is also on hand with one of his pounding live sets, which never disappoint. As techno lineups go, they rarely get more stacked than this one.

909 at Mediahaven, December 29, Moermanskkade 107, 1013 BC Amsterdam. For more Information click here.
