If you've stumbled across one of their dystopian film set stages at the UK's Glastonbury or Miami's Ultra festivals you'll be all too aware of the spectacular show Arcadia is renowned for putting on. The collective have confirmed the London instalment of their tenth anniversary celebration will take place on 5 and 6 May 2018 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Ram Records and Leftfield have already been confirmed as the first acts for the two day event. Leftfield will headline the house and techno oriented Saturday and will perform a live selection from their back catalogue of hits from the iconic Leftism and Rhythm and Stealth albums. Sunday musical selections will be bass driven and iconic drum’n’bass label Ram will be taking the reigns of the Spider stage.
Arcadia's acclaimed Metamorphosis show features the Spider stage at its centre set amidst a scene of car-sized robotic spiders crawling above the crowds, bio-mechanical creatures pulsing with light and bolts of lightning firing over head.
The 360 degree immersive experience attracts tens of thousands of people a night to its area in Glastonbury. Recent years have seen Arcadia travel the world, landing the Spider on four continents, from downtown Miami to collaborations with the Aboriginal peoples of Western Australia in the performance of an ancient dance not seen in public since 1901.
