Berlin never sleeps and it certainly doesn't swap its raving boots for a detox in January. From Chicago legends at Watergate to Rush Hour regulars at Prince Charles there plenty of reasons to call in sick on Tuesday in the city that refuses to take it easy.

Glenn Underground at Watergate

As part of her Watergate residency, the Beste-Modus boss invites Chicago House legend Glenn Underground to spin on the club's moonlit Water Floor. Having released on pivotal dance music labels like Dance Mania after spending a considerable amount of time and talent sculpting the renowned Chicago scene, Glenn’s visit to Berlin will be well received by those who have been influenced by his jazzy and soulful productions.

Cinthie Invites at Watergate, Falckensteinstrasse 49, Kreuzberg, 10997 Berlin, Germany. 10 January. For more information click here.

Klubnacht at Berghain

Live shows appear to be the flavour of another marathon weekend at Berghain, with both Blush Response and Schacke on duty. Another pair of popular names on the techno circuit during 2017, Courtesy and Dax J, start the year with a bang in the main room alongside Slam and highly regarded club resident Len Faki. Take a ‘breather’ in Panorama Bar with Dan Beaumont, Radio Slave and Nitam. As ever, this will be a super long party finishing on Monday morning at 6am.

Klubnacht at Berghain, 70 Am Wriezener Bahnhof, Friedrichshain, 10243 Berlin, Germany. 13 January. For more information click here.

A Guy Called Gerald at Suicide Circus

A Guy Called Gerald tops the bill at Suicide Circus as part of an RTS.FM takeover. The Manchester legend's influences and achievements run deep; he is largely regarded for writing seminal acid house hit 'Voodoo Ray' and sparking the scene in the UK during the 80s.
An early member of key UK rave act, 808 State, he left the band shortly after working on what would later become one of their most famous tracks, 'Pacific State.' A long time resident of Berlin, he arrived on Perlon’s doorstep in 2008 and has never been far from dance music's front line throughout his lengthy career.

RTS.FM at Suicide Circus, Revaler Strasse 99, Friedrichshain, 10245 Berlin, Germany. 3 January. For more information click here.

Beats ’n’ Beasts at Salon Dur Wilden Renate

More Perlon love with Margaret Dygas and Miyaan Nidam who top the bill for our favourite derelict apartment block in Friedrichshain. Retrofit’s Jay Shepheard, Eluize and Tobias Gullberg finish the bill in the Grüner Raum, whilst down in the Roter Raum a more local line up can be found, which is the usual procedure for Renate. Prepare to be delightfully disorientated as sultry grooves echo around the multi-roomed club.

Beats ’n’ Beasts at Salon Dur Wilden Renate, Alt Stralau 70, Friedrichshain, 10245 Berlin,  Germany. 11 January. For more information click here.

Lumberjacks in Hell at Prince Charles

Marcel Vogel’s Amsterdam-based label Lumberjacks in Hell has been showcasing the most exciting producers in modern day driving, soulful house since its establishment in 2010. For the first of the bi-annual collaboration between Lumberjacks in Hell and Prince Charles, Vogel is joined by Rush Hour legend Jamie 3:26 and UK based Dan Shake, who is one of the few artists to have been signed to Moodymann’s Mahogani label that isn’t from Detroit.

Lumberjacks in Hell at Prince Charles, Prinzenstrasse 85, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, 10969 Berlin, Germany. 12 January. For more information click here.
