So many raves, so little time. Ready to grab life by the short and curlies? We've rounded up all of the year's key mega-parties in one long-as-you-like list so you can put together your party planner for the year NOW. From festivals to essential club dates, the fun starts here.

:: JANUARY ::

Goat Festival, India

Out of the trance embers of Goa in India, Goat Festival has thrived into a respectable underground house music party. Join Tiga, Horse Meat Disco, Ampy Fiddler and Moxie on the picturesque Avsham Beach to close January 2018 in style. If you're already in Goa, make this your priority.

Goat Festival 2018. Ashvem Beach, Goa, India. 26 - 28 January. For more info click here.

Carnival, Brazil

Carnival in Rio is arguably the most mind blowing series of shows and parties on the planet. Dancers draped in headdresses litter the gargantuan carnival floats that chug around the capital, and street parties can spark off the back of a spontaneous street drummer using the back of a bucket. If it's not top of your party bucket list, it should be. Carnival time also means peak time partying for the country's clubs and from D'Edge in Sao Paolo and Rio de Janerio to Warung in Itajaí, promoters select their best lineups at this time of year. Warung for example, have lined up a three days of parties with Guy Gerber's Rumors, Circoloco and Jooris Voorn's Spectrum all guesting.

Carnival, Various Locations, Brazil. 9 - 14 February. For more information click here.

Sonar Reyjavik, Iceland

As Sónar celebrates its 25th anniversary with a range of festivals external to its initial Barcelona hub, the Reykjavik leg has become somewhat of an annual tradition and aims to provide a more intimate setting for those looking to seek underground music. De La Soul, Moderat and Ben Klock are among the diverse artists on the bill.

Sonar Rejkvik at Harpa, Austurbakka 2, 101 Reykjavik, Iceland. 16 - 19 February. For more information click here.

Miami Music Week, Miami

Dance music conferences take place all over the globe these days, but Miami's Winter Music Conference is the originator of the concept, although now repackaged to Miami Music Week. And, like many, the week of conferences and talks attracts a huge number of pop up events that orbit the official event. These days, the conference has been largely overshadowed by the throng of dance music brands and DJs that congregate for the parties, and although it lost its crown to ADE a long time ago as the industry's most essential gathering, there is no competition to the unique kind of decadence that comes with a week in Miami.

Wonderfruit, Thailand

Thailand has long roots in rave culture but until now, has had few festivals like those enjoyed in the West. Wonderfruit is changing all of that and ticks steadily into its fifth year in 2018. Expect the Hawtins and Richards’ of the world to adorn the bill.

Epizode, Vietnam

Last year’s hype around Epizode festival was not without just cause. The rebirth of Crimea’s Kazantip on the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc delivered a smash hit of a festival. The tropical island was totally taken over by artists like Call Super, Luciano and Nicolas Lutz.  A fantastic way to finish 2018.
