The Berlin live duo deliver a follow up to their 2017 breakthrough release.

Following up their phenomenal Opal Sun Pt. 1 EP from 2017, Al Kassian and Hiroaki OBA present arguably a stronger EP this time out with four cuts of classy techno and astral-inspired house music.

‘Chameleon’ is straight up killer. Clicky, swinging and deeply funky Detroit style drums set the tone. An organic pulsing bass section and atmospheric melodies provide an ecstatic euphoric touch. The celestial ‘Sefarin’ is no less an irresistible groove. Tight drums sit under dreamy pads and subtle acidic flourishes.

Vertigo’ is a straighter house jam; edgy bass stabs and firing hi-hats make for a lights-down-low, late night feel. ‘Proxima’ is the techiest cut, distorted percussion creating a more industrial vibe. This is dance-music for the heads, with its mind in the stars.

Ibiza Voice Score: 7/10
